Manza Onsen Nisshinkan is a hot spring hotel located at 1,800 meters elevation within Joshinetsu Kogen National Park in Tsumagoi Village, Agatsuma District, Gunma Prefecture. Known as a long-established inn in Manza Onsen, its greatest attraction is the ability to enjoy 9 different types of diverse hot springs. Characterized by milky white sulfur springs, it boasts a source temperature of 80°C and an abundant daily flow of approximately 5.4 million liters.
The 9 bathing facilities are as follows:
1. **Gokuraku-yu**: Open-air bath about 1 minute walk from main building
2. **Choju-no-yu**: Large bath in main building with 6 different pools, including 100% pure source 'Nigatyu'
3. **Manten-no-yu**: Bath in annex using natural cypress

The hot spring is an acidic sulfur spring with pH 2.4-2.6, making it strongly acidic. With 27 different spring qualities, it's said to be effective for skin beautification, fatigue recovery, neuralgia, muscle pain, joint pain, and sensitivity to cold. The milky white sulfur spring is gentle on skin, leaving it moisturized after bathing.
Being at 1,800 meters elevation, the air is clear, and the open-air bath while viewing the star-filled sky is exceptional. In winter, it's also popular as a ski resort, bustling with people enjoying skiing and hot springs.
Day-use bathing is available for 1,000 yen for adults (towel included), operating hours require confirmation. Accommodation rates start from 20,000 yen per person per night with two meals for 2 people per room (tax included, varies by plan). Check-in is at 15:00, check-out at 10:00, and the hotel is open year-round.
Access is by route bus from JR Agatsuma Line Manza-Kazawa-guchi Station (about 40 minutes). By car, it's about 80 minutes from Usui-Karuizawa IC on the Joshinetsu Expressway. Free parking is available. Being at high elevation, studless tires or chains are essential in winter.
