Hot Spring Overview

Warabi Onsen Fureai no Yu is a village-operated day-trip hot spring facility located in the Warabidaira area at the lowest reaches of the Matsukawa River in the Shinshu Takayama Onsen Village in Takayama Village, Nagano Prefecture. It opened in 1988 and was renovated in December 2019. This peaceful facility is nestled in pastoral rural scenery, and the observation bath offers panoramic views of the magnificent Northern Alps and Zenkoji Plain. The water quality is sulfur-containing sodium-calcium chloride-sulfate spring (weakly alkaline, hypotonic, high-temperature spring) with a source temperature of 45.6°C and pH of 7.84. The colorless and transparent water is refreshing without any peculiar taste, and is known for warming you from the core. The total mineral content is 2.368g/kg. The bath has a simple design with one outdoor bath and one indoor bath. It is said to be effective for neuralgia, muscle pain, joint pain, frozen shoulder, motor paralysis, joint stiffness, bruises, sprains, chronic digestive diseases, hemorrhoids, cold sensitivity, post-illness recovery, fatigue recovery, and health improvement. Open from 6:30 AM for early morning bathing. The reasonable price of 400 yen for adults is another attraction.
