Kokumin Shukusha Tenbo Tateyamaso (National Lodge Tenbo Tateyamaso) is Japan's highest-altitude national public lodge, standing at 1,940 meters above sea level in the Midagahara area of the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route. This reinforced concrete 3-story building with one basement level sits in the Midagahara Plateau within Chubu Sangaku National Park, accommodating up to 89 guests across 27 rooms (11 Japanese-style and 16 Western-style). The Midagahara Plateau is an expansive wetland dotted with countless small ponds called Gaki-no-ta (Devil's Rice Paddies), and is registered as a Ramsar Convention wetland.

The facility features gender-separated large public baths and an accessible bathroom. The west-facing windows offer spectacular views of sunsets over the Sea of Japan beyond the Toyama Plain, as well as dramatic sea-of-clouds scenery. Day-trip bathing is available at 500 yen for adults and 400 yen for children, with bathing hours from 15:00 to 22:00 (no early morning bathing). Some sources indicate the facility uses natural hot spring water with free-flowing source water, though official sources do not specify the spring quality details.

The restaurant provides dining with views of the Toyama Plain nightscape and clouds below. Facilities include a conference room (80-person capacity), training rooms, a nature study room, and table tennis. Accommodation rates start at 15,000 yen per adult with two meals, 12,000 yen for children, and 5,000 yen for infants. The lodge operates from mid-April to early November, with check-in at 15:00 and check-out at 9:00.
