Yuhi Roman Ichibokan
Hot Spring Overview
Yuhi Roman Ichibokan is a hot spring inn standing on the shore of Yuhigaura Onsen in Hamazume, Amino-cho, Kyotango City, Kyoto, facing the Sea of Japan. The beach lies just about a 30-second walk away, and the setting looks out over the beautiful sunsets that earned Yuhigaura a place among Japan's 100 best sunset spots. Yuhigaura Onsen is a relatively young hot spring resort, with water first welling up in the early 1980s and a new source drilled in 2006.
The water is an alkaline simple spring (hypotonic, alkaline, high-temperature) with a source temperature of about 42 degrees Celsius. Colorless and transparent with a soft, gentle touch, it is cherished as a beauty bath that leaves the skin smooth.
Alongside the main bath, the inn offers a reservable private open-air bath, and some guest rooms feature Shigaraki-ware view baths. Guests are welcomed by a modern Japanese lobby designed by architect Kei Matsuba, and stays center on plans with dinner and breakfast, featuring seasonal Tango ingredients including fresh seafood from the Sea of Japan.
