A traditional wooden Japanese-style ryokan with a therapeutic atmosphere, surrounded by primeval forests of the Kirishima mountain range. The inn features two natural spring sources: a sulfur spring (46 degrees Celsius) and a carbonated sulfur spring known as 'Sulfur Ramune Spring' (30 degrees Celsius), with a combined flow of 450 liters per minute. The main bathhouse uniquely offers three different spring qualities at once - sulfur spring (43 degrees) in the back, micro-carbonated spring (31 degrees) in the front, and a mixed spring in the center. The carbonated 'Sulfur Ramune Spring' provides a fizzy sensation, and this low temperature (30 degrees) is essential to retain the carbonic acid without dissipation. The milky white cloudy water with floating hot spring deposits and the rustic atmosphere created by wood and stone baths are the facility's charms. According to spring analysis, it is a simple sulfur hot spring (hydrogen sulfide type) with a temperature of 44.1 degrees and pH 5.3 (weakly acidic). Overnight guests can bathe 24 hours (except cleaning time 15:00-16:00), and exclusive open-air baths are available free of charge.
