Himehiko Onsen is a natural hot spring facility located in Hatadera 3-chome, Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture, drawing its waters from 1,000 meters underground. Situated in the eastern part of central Matsuyama near Hantaji Temple, it is widely known as a popular day-trip onsen and a beloved relaxation spot for local residents. The spring quality is alkaline simple hot spring (hypotonic alkaline low-temperature spring), characterized by smooth, skin-friendly water. The large public bath features 9 different types of baths (10 in the women's bath), including a microbubble open-air bath, electric bath, a 36.5-meter walking bath (rehabilitation pool), and the original Aqua Review unique to Himehiko Onsen, providing a wide variety of bathing experiences. The bathing floor is paved entirely with Matera stone, which emits far-infrared rays, keeps the floor warm underfoot, and provides slip resistance for safety. Additionally, the facility offers 20 private family baths available 24 hours a day. The family bath options range from premium rooms equipped with open-air baths, saunas, and cold water baths to standard rooms made of Matera stone.
