The spring water is classified as a sodium bicarbonate cold mineral spring with a source temperature of 9.8 degrees Celsius, heated for bathing. With an alkaline pH of 9.0, the water has a distinctive silky, slippery texture that leaves the skin remarkably smooth, earning it a reputation as a beautifying spring. White mineral deposits floating in the bath are a hallmark of the natural source water. The facility employs heating, circulation filtration, and chlorine disinfection.

The hotel offers eight different bathing options including an outdoor bath constructed with local Awa blue stone, jet baths, herbal soaks, and a salt sauna. The on-site restaurant Otokiya serves regional cuisine featuring Awa beef, sweetfish, and handmade Iya soba noodles. Guest rooms are primarily traditional Japanese style, each with private bath and toilet. Day-trip bathing is available for 1,000 yen for adults and 500 yen for children.
