Kuzuryu Onsen Heisei-no-Yu is a day-trip hot spring facility located near Lake Kuzuryu in the upper reaches of the Kuzuryu River in Ono City, Fukui Prefecture. Opened in 1989 (the first year of the Heisei era), the facility's name commemorates this period. The spring water is alkaline simple hot spring (pH 8.8) with a source temperature of approximately 26 degrees Celsius, a cold mineral spring heated for bathing. The silky-smooth water is locally beloved as a 'beauty skin bath.' The outdoor bath offers views of the Kuzuryu mountains, with the autumn foliage season being particularly spectacular as the mountainsides turn red and gold. The facility includes a sauna, spacious rest areas, and a restaurant. In winter it bustles with visitors returning from skiing, while in summer it serves as a base for outdoor recreation at Lake Kuzuryu. Its proximity to Kuzuryu-ko Station, the terminus of the JR Etsumi-Hoku Line, also makes it popular with railway enthusiasts.
