Azumino Misato Onsen Fine View Muroyama

Fine View Muroyama is a public lodge with a hot spring on a hill at 800 m elevation in Misato-Ogura, Azumino City, Nagano. It overlooks the Matsumoto Plain and Azumino, with Utsukushigahara Highlands in view by day and the lights of Matsumoto city at night. It is said to have opened in 1998 and marked its 25th anniversary in 2023. Day-use bathing is accepted.

The water is an alkaline simple hot spring, and the official site states a flow of 166 liters per minute. The official onsen page lists the temperature as about 40 C. The water feels soft on the skin, and listed benefits include neuralgia, muscle pain, stiff shoulders, stiff joints, poor circulation and recovery from fatigue.

There are two large bath halls, Tenku no Yu and Misato no Yu, which swap between men and women every day. Besides the main bath they have a jacuzzi, a sauna and a cold plunge. The open-air area has a reclining bath and a boat-shaped bath inspired by the Ofune boat festival of Hotaka Shrine. Admission is 700 yen for adults on weekdays and on weekends and holidays, 400 yen for children, and free for preschoolers accompanied by a guardian. It is open 10:00 to 21:30 with last entry at 20:30, and closes about once a month for equipment maintenance. Overnight stays are also available.
