Tamanashi Onsen Ebisuya
Hot Spring Overview
Ebisuya is a single-inn hot spring on the Tadami River in the Tamanashi district of Kaneyama Town, Onuma District, Fukushima Prefecture, deep in the Okuaizu region. It is a member of the Nihon Hitou wo Mamoru Kai (Association for Preserving Japan's Secluded Hot Springs) and has twelve guest rooms. The nearest station is Aizu-Kawaguchi on the JR Tadami Line, about 15 minutes away by bus.
The water is a greenish-brown, cloudy sodium bicarbonate-chloride-sulfate spring. The large gender-separated bath, Kappa no Yu, is fed by the Tamanashi Onsen town-owned source, while the private bath Tsuki to Taiyo uses the naturally carbonated Hacchomachi Onsen source, so guests can compare two different waters in one stay. Every bath is served as free-flowing source water.
The inn has a large bath for each gender, an open-air bath and a private bath. Dinner features local mountain ingredients, and breakfast is known for hot spring rice porridge and hot spring tofu. Check-in is from 3 p.m. and check-out is by 10 a.m. Credit cards are not accepted. Please confirm day-use bathing fees and hours in advance.
