Marumine Kanko Hotel is a long-established hot spring inn located in Ashinomaki Onsen, Aizuwakamatsu City, Fukushima Prefecture. Ashinomaki Onsen was discovered about 1,200 years ago by the Buddhist priest Gyoki and is known as the Phantom Hot Spring Village with its rich history. Situated along a gorge overlooking the Agano River (Okawa River), guests can enjoy bathing while viewing the magnificent natural scenery. The hotel features various hot spring baths with different atmospheres, including the Ancient Hinoki Bath using 2,000-year-old cypress and the Valley View Bath overlooking the mountain stream. The water is calcium-sodium sulfate-chloride spring (low-tension weakly alkaline hyperthermia), combining the characteristics of both chloride and sulfate springs, known as a beautifying bath. The skin becomes smooth after bathing. Guest rooms are divided into three buildings - Marumine, Kawane, and Sansui - offering various room types including rooms with private onsen baths and rooms with open-air baths. A buffet restaurant was newly opened in 2024, serving cuisine featuring local Aizu ingredients.
