A day-trip hot spring facility that opened in 2001, adjacent to Ikenoyama-so in Hoshino Village, Yame City, Fukuoka Prefecture. Hoshino Village is located in the southern part of Fukuoka Prefecture, on the border with Oita Prefecture, surrounded by mountains with the beautiful Hoshino River flowing through it. The terraced rice fields and tea plantations that change with the seasons have been selected as one of Japan's 100 Best Countryside Villages. The water quality is alkaline simple hot spring with a high pH of 9.6, beloved as a 'Beautiful Skin Hot Spring' that leaves skin silky smooth after bathing. The indoor bath offers a panoramic view of Hoshino Village. There are two outdoor baths - 'Miharashi no Yu' (Observation Bath) and 'Mori no Yu' (Forest Bath) - which alternate between men and women on even and odd days. At Miharashi no Yu, visitors can overlook Hoshino Village from the mountaintop and enjoy bathing under a starry sky at night. Mori no Yu offers a forest bathing experience surrounded by nature on all sides. Two family baths - 'Sora no Yu' (Sky Bath) and 'Irodori no Yu' (Color Bath) - are available in a semi-outdoor style for private relaxation. Accommodation is available at the adjacent Ikenoyama-so, where guests can enjoy local specialties such as Yame tea and terraced rice.
