Nirasaki Asahi Onsen
Hot Spring Overview
Nirasaki Asahi Onsen is a day-use bathing facility in Kamijo-nakawari, Asahi-cho, Nirasaki, Yamanashi Prefecture. Standing at an elevation of about 382 meters, the facility offers views of Mt. Fuji, the Yatsugatake range, night scenery and starry skies. The spring water rises from underground bedrock and is carbonated.
The water is a sodium chloride and bicarbonate spring, weakly alkaline and hypotonic, with a source temperature of 40.5 C. Fine carbonated bubbles cling to the skin as you soak. It is a free-flowing source bath with no added water, no heating and no recirculation, so you can enjoy a long soak in lukewarm water.
The facility has a large indoor communal bath and accepts day visitors from one person. Admission is 700 yen for adults and 350 yen for children aged 4 and over, paid by ticket machine. It is open from 10:00 to 20:00 and closed on Tuesdays (the next day if Tuesday is a national holiday) and Fridays. The facility is tattoo-friendly.
