Megahira Onsen Quelle Yoshiwa is a natural hot spring resort located at the foot of the Nishi-Chugoku Sanchi Quasi-National Park in Yoshiwa, Hatsukaichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture. Situated on the slopes of Mount Megahira at approximately 700 meters elevation, it operates as the Megahira Ski Resort in winter and a highland resort in summer, offering year-round recreation as a comprehensive leisure facility. The name Quelle means 'source' in German, reflecting the facility''s concept modeled after German Kurort (spa resort) traditions. The adjacent Woodone Art Museum houses collections of Meissen porcelain, Art Nouveau glasswork, and modern Japanese paintings, creating a luxurious environment where visitors can enjoy both art and hot springs.

The spring quality is alkaline simple hot spring, naturally flowing from its own private source. The water is characteristically soft and gentle on the skin, with therapeutic benefits for fatigue recovery, neuralgia, muscle pain, hypertension, chronic gynecological conditions, and cold sensitivity. The facility features free-flowing source water baths where guests can enjoy the high-quality natural hot spring.

The facility''s most remarkable feature is an outdoor bath carved from an ancient tree approximately 45,000 years old. This prehistoric giant tree was excavated from underground during construction, and the bathing vessel crafted from this primordial natural material is extraordinarily rare nationwide. In addition to the main bathhouse, the Kur Garden offers 13 types of bathing facilities for swimsuit-wearing guests, including jet baths, reclining baths, seated baths, and children''s baths. Rock saunas and regular saunas are also available, along with private rental baths. The accommodation wing has 45 rooms, and the restaurant serves dishes featuring locally grown maitake mushrooms and abalone mushrooms. Day-trip bathing is available for 700 yen for adults and 350 yen for children, from 11:00 to 19:00 (last admission 18:00).
