Nozawa Onsen Kawaichiya Ryokan

Hot Spring Overview
Kawaichiya Ryokan sits in the hot-spring town of Nozawa Onsen Village, Shimotakai District, Nagano Prefecture, close to the Kamidera-yu public bath, and draws on two hot-spring sources with different characters.
The open-air bath, Shin-yu, is a simple sulfur spring (hydrogen-sulfide type) served straight from the source; depending on air and ground temperature its color shifts between milky white, emerald green, and clear, and it carries plenty of floating mineral flakes. The indoor bath, Ogama, is piped in from Ogama, one of Nozawa Onsen's shared communal sources, and is a sulfur-bearing sulfate spring supplied through a circulating filtration system. Both are classified as neutral-to-alkaline high-temperature springs.
The inn has 15 guest rooms, including Shinano-tei, a room with its own bath fed by the Shin-yu source, alongside Japanese-Western and Japanese-style rooms. Meals are served in the first-floor dining room (no in-room dining). The whole building is non-smoking, Wi-Fi is available in every room, and credit cards (Visa and Mastercard) are accepted only for bookings made through the official website. Bathing is reserved for overnight guests, with no day-trip bathing offered.
