Hot Spring Overview
The name Jūōdō comes from the "Ten Kings of Hell" (Jūō), enshrined in the nearby Enma Hall.
It is the only bathhouse in Nozawa Onsen where the women’s bath is on the first floor and the men’s bath is on the second floor.
There is a kettle for making onsen tamago (hot spring eggs), as well as a washing area still used by the local Yunakama group.
The hot spring water is sourced from Ogama and Yunomiya springs.

Take the Shinkansen to JR Iiyama Station, then transfer to the direct bus “Nozawa Onsen Liner”, which takes approximately 25 minutes to reach Nozawa Onsen.

野沢温泉は、車や公共交通機関でのアクセスが可能な立地にあり、訪れやすい温泉地です。
しかしながら、日本で唯一「温泉」の名を冠する村であり、温泉文化が村全体に深く根付いている点において、他にはない特別な存在です。
町のあちこちに点在する13の共同浴場（外湯）は、いずれも簡素な造りで、下足置き場と脱衣スペースのみ。観光施設というより、地域の暮らしと密接に結びついた「生活の湯」です。
こうした共同湯の維持・管理は、「湯仲間」と呼ばれる地元住民の団体が行っており、各浴場には源泉から無料でお湯が引かれています。
観光地でありながら、古くからの共同浴場文化が色濃く残る野沢温泉は、秘湯としての味わいも持ち合わせています。
