Ipponmatsu Onsen once had a hot spring inn, but now it has become a completely wild hot spring with no changing rooms or facilities. The bathing pool is shallow and can accommodate about 2-3 people. The water is too hot as it naturally flows, but visitors use a hose to draw stream water to adjust the temperature for comfortable bathing. The water color is normally transparent, but when the spring is cleaned or when people enter the bath, the hot spring mud accumulated at the bottom floats up, turning the water milky white.
