Naha Natural Hot Spring Rikka Rikka Yu

Rikka Rikka Yu is an urban hot spring facility in Makishi, Naha City, Okinawa, located just a few minutes on foot from Kokusai-dori, the prefecture's busiest shopping street. Attached to the COMMUNITY&SPA Naha Central Hotel, it is about a 5-minute walk from Miebashi Station on the Yui Rail monorail and roughly 15 minutes by car from Naha Airport. Its outstanding accessibility, allowing a soak between sightseeing and shopping, is its greatest appeal, and it is popular with both locals and travelers.

The source, named Naha Natural Hot Spring Bijin-no-yu, is a sodium chloride spring. Its source temperature of about 26.6 degrees Celsius clears the legal threshold for a hot spring (25 degrees or above), yet it is close to a cold mineral spring in temperature. The operator therefore officially heats the water and supplies it with recirculation filtering, chlorination, and dilution. This is not a free-flowing (kakenagashi) spring but a recirculated, urban super-sento-style operation, a point worth understanding in advance. As a chloride spring it retains warmth well and is said to help with neuralgia, muscle pain, and fatigue recovery.

The facility has two large bathing zones with distinct concepts, Shiun-sen and Tougen-sen, which alternate between men and women daily. The natural hot spring is used only in the semi-open-air spring tub; the jet baths use heated tap water. Three saunas (dry, salt, and steam), a stone-bed bathing area, and the Yuntaku dining space are also on site. Open 6:00 to 23:00 year-round, with three hours of free parking. Adult admission starts at 1,250 yen on weekdays.
