Our Mission

I have loved hot springs (onsen) since childhood. Visiting onsen with my family became a tradition, allowing me to experience various hot springs throughout Japan. From those early days, I've cherished the relaxing experience of soaking in thermal waters, and I continue to visit different onsen today.

Japan, a country of volcanoes and earthquakes, is blessed with hot springs scattered across the nation. As I grew older and researched more, I discovered that beyond the famous onsen, there are many hidden gems—hot springs that are challenging to reach, places that make you wonder “who would even go here?”—known as “secret hot springs” (hitoyu).

Yet it's precisely these hidden hot springs that, despite being difficult to access, offer irreplaceable and extraordinary experiences.

In these places, you can strongly sense the Earth's movement. Through all four seasons, day and night, the Earth steadily and continuously produces hot water, supporting our lives. I'm profoundly grateful to be born on this planet and to live in Japan, where we can intimately experience the Earth's activity.

Through this website, I hope to inspire you to visit these hidden hot springs, to appreciate the joy and wonder of all onsen, and to feel grateful for being on this Earth and in Japan. This is my humble wish for creating this resource.
