Shichikama Onsen Yu-raku-kan
Hot Spring Overview
A day-trip hot spring facility located in Shichikama, Shin-Onsen Town, Mikata District, Hyogo Prefecture, established within the Hamasaka Onsen District, the first nationally designated health resort hot spring area in the prefecture. The water quality is sodium-calcium sulfate spring (hypotonic, neutral, high-temperature spring) with a source temperature of 50.4°C, delivered as 100% free-flowing source water to all 10 bathtubs and a footbath. Known as the 'no-kotatsu-needed onsen' for its exceptional heat retention effect, bathers stay warm long after leaving the bath. The facility offers a diverse range of baths including stone baths, cypress wood baths, large cauldron-shaped outdoor baths, pot baths, and private multi-purpose baths, along with a 32-tatami mat Japanese-style rest room and a natural environment exhibition hall. The spring has therapeutic benefits for neuralgia, muscle pain, chronic digestive diseases, high blood pressure, chronic gynecological conditions, burns, and general health improvement. Set in the tranquil natural surroundings of the San-in region, the Shichikama area is known for fresh seafood from the Sea of Japan, attracting many visitors during the matsuba crab season. A free footbath called 'Shirasagi no Yu' is also available nearby.
