Yunoyama Onsen Green Hotel

Yunoyama Onsen Green Hotel is a natural hot spring inn located in Komono Town, Mie District, Mie Prefecture, nestled at the eastern foot of Mount Gozaisho, the highest peak of the Suzuka Mountain Range. Yunoyama Onsen is said to have been discovered in 718 AD by the Buddhist priest Jokun following a divine revelation from Yakushi Nyorai, and is also known by the name Shika no Yu (Deer Spring) from the legend of wounded deer healing themselves in its waters, boasting over 1,300 years of history. The Green Hotel possesses two private hot spring sources on its grounds, drawing an abundant flow of over 500 liters per minute from 1,300 meters underground.

The water is classified as an alkaline simple hot spring (low-tension alkaline spring), with the main No. 3 source at 45.2 degrees Celsius and pH 8.6. The radon-containing alkaline water is renowned as a bijin no yu (beauty spring) celebrated for its skin-smoothing properties. The hotel employs a luxurious free-flowing system where undiluted 100 percent source water overflows from the baths without any added water.

The facility features large open-air baths, indoor large baths, garden open-air baths, and source spring baths for both men and women, with drinkable spring water also available. The grounds include approximately 14 tennis courts, barbecue facilities, and 15 banquet and conference rooms, making it a comprehensive resort hotel for both overnight and day-trip guests. Day-trip bathing costs 800 yen for adults on weekdays and 900 yen on weekends and holidays, with operating hours from 10:00 to 19:30.
