Hot Spring Overview

A secluded hot spring at 750m elevation located at the end of a road following the Shikaribetsu River. Despite its inconvenient location, it has been renowned for its healing properties since the Taisho period, attracting many spa guests. Located in the special area of Daisetsuzan National Park, it opened in 1911. This single mountain inn features 11 baths fed by 13 different sources. Visitors can enjoy 5 types of fresh hot spring water, primarily sodium-chloride-bicarbonate with rich metasilicic acid and metaboric acid content. Different spring qualities can be enjoyed in various baths including the foot-sourced Ikorobokka bath and the outdoor Inenaru-taki waterfall bath.
